Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Mabrouk. By creating an account you accept them.
What Mabrouk is
Mabrouk is a tool for inviting people to a celebration and sharing it with them. We provide the software. We do not organise, host, endorse or take any responsibility for anyone's event, and we are not a party to any arrangement between a host and their guests.
Your account
You must be 13 or older. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to your email or phone number secure. One account per person.
What you post
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us permission to store and display it for the purpose of running the service — showing your photo to the other guests at that event, and nothing beyond that.
Do not post content that:
- harasses, threatens or bullies anyone;
- is sexual content, or any content that sexualises a minor;
- incites violence or hatred against a group of people;
- is unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights;
- is spam, or impersonates someone else.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and we may do so without warning where someone's safety is at stake. Report anything from inside the app, or email support@example.com. We review reports within 24 hours.
Guest lists
If you invite people, you are confirming that you actually know them and have a reason to contact them. Do not upload a list you bought, scraped, or otherwise have no relationship with. We limit how many invitations an account can send, and we will suspend accounts that use invitations as a mailing list.
Gifts and payments
Gifts are processed by Stripe. Money moves from the guest to the host's own connected Stripe account. Mabrouk never holds your money, and we are not a bank, a money transmitter, or an escrow service.
Hosts who accept gifts also enter into Stripe's Connected Account Agreement, and are responsible for their own tax position on what they receive. A gift is between the guest and the host; if something needs refunding, the host and the guest resolve it, and we will help trace the payment.
Where we charge a fee, it is shown to you before you pay — never deducted quietly afterwards.
Availability
We try to keep Mabrouk running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We are not liable for a missed notification, a failed upload, or an invitation that did not arrive. Do not rely on Mabrouk as the only way you have told someone about an important event.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time — see deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you carry on using it.
